SECRET NUMBER the RISING KPOP GIRLGROUP
On December 17, 2019, Vine Entertainment uploaded the debut teaser of their new girl group. In the post, Vine Entertainment confirmed that the group had 100 days until their debut on March 26, 2020. However, on March 12, 2020, Vine Entertainment postponed the group's debut due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The name of the new group, SECRET NUMBER, and the name of its social media account were both released by Vine Entertainment on April 29, 2020. The members were made public the same day in a dance cover video that was posted to their official YouTube channel. The organization said on May 6, 2020, that SECRET NUMBER will release their debut single album Who Dis? on May 19. From May 11 to May 14, the members were formally introduced in the following order: Denise, Jinny, Léa, Soodam, and Dita.
Then, on May 19, 2020, Secret Number made its official debut by releasing the track "Who Dis?" and hosting a debut showcase event the same day. The main single "Who Dis?" and "Holidays" are the only two songs on this first single album. The group would return on November 4, 2020, with the release of the second single album, Got That Boom, the agency announced on October 22, 2020. The first track "Got That Boom" and the second single, "Privacy," both of which were released on November 4th, are included in this second single album.
Secret Number won multiple rookie prizes at significant Korean music award events, including the Asia Artist Awards, APAN Music Awards, Asian Pop Music Awards, and Ten Asia Global Top Ten Awards, as a result of their financial success in the first five months. They were also listed as one of the 2020 Rookie groups by Billboard Korea. Due to ongoing contract discussions, the agency stated on September 30, 2021 via their social media platforms, Denise will not be taking part in the group's upcoming third album promotion. Then the organization said that Secret Number would release their third single album on October 5, 2021.
Secret Number would release their third single album, Fire Saturday, on October 27. This was revealed by Vine Entertainment on October 8, 2021. Zuu was unveiled as a new member of Secret Number on October 16. The second new member, Minji, was presented the next day. Due to the expiration of her contract with the group, Denise formally quit the secret number on February 5, 2022. Through his personal Instagram account, he made this announcement. Following Denise's departure, the official Secret Number account immediately stated that the group would make their fourth comeback on June 8, 2022, with the title song DOOMCHITA serving as both the main single and the B-side song.
